Clever Anthony

Clever Antony (FCA, FCTI, MSc) is the Managing Partner of the firm; a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), with over 25 years of professional experience in Taxation and Management Consulting.

He holds Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Benin and Master of Science degree in Finance from the University of Lagos.

He has been a lecturer in Taxation and Advance Taxation for the past eighteen years and currently a director and the head of faculty of the Tax and Advance tax directorate at Wyse Associates Limited, a leading Accountancy tuition house in Nigeria. He has and still is a resource person to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) on Taxation and Advance Taxation at both the Foundation and Professional Stages of the Institution’s professional examination.

He commenced his work career with Gremlins Systems Limited as the Head of Finance where he gained extensive experience in financial reporting, taxation and payroll administration and management.

He was later the tax manager at Ayotunde Fasoro & Co., a firm of Chartered Accountants, with responsibility for managing the tax affairs of the firm’s clients mostly in Oil and gas, Services, Construction, manufacturing, etc.

He had a brief career with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) as an Associate consultant. He also worked with MTN Nigeria Communications Ltd as a Tax Specialist in charge of all corporate tax affairs, tax advisory and Indirect tax matters.

He also worked with Etisalat Nigeria (Now 9Mobile) as one of the pioneer staff. As the organization’s head of tax, he had the responsibility for setting up a tax department for the organization. He successfully instituted the most tax efficient (with minimal or no tax risk) tax department for the company and also managed the department for a period of almost nine (9) years.
